Wow, somebody actually liked my work enough to post it on some wallpaper site? Fascinating; anyway thanks for the heads up. Looks like I'll need to start putting on an id of some kind. Anyway about that site, I listed myself as the author and reported it so hopefully that'll do something. Again, thanks man I appreciate it. ^_^
No problemmos. I've seen my stuff turn up there a few times and other places too which is why I started putting my DA address on them. Sites like that make money from their ads depending on how many people view their site so really they are making money off your stuff and that's illegal. Wouldn't be so bad if they gave a direct link instead of just pinching it and reposting it.
Thanks Joe! It's a still from ME2 with some tweaks. I have to say I'm very happy with how it came out (and of course with tinyhuge's suggestion for the title). Hey that sounds great idea with the props. I got the soda cans you did here (the one with cerberus/N7 logo). Very neat stuff man. I think someone did a N7 Cell phone too.
Well for the o'l modelling stuff all I've gotten done is throwing up some textures on Jack here. Not the HD ones from JeanLuc761 but there okay. [link]
Lolz yeah I made the N7 iPhone too. Now that I've finally found a way to convert GMOD models I can do convert HEAPS more stuff cause those guys extracted everything! Just ported the Normandy with full interior Command area and cockpit inside. It'll be cool when I can rig lights inside it
Well you totally fooled me that in was just a still for the background. You got the lighting perfect on Miranda and it looks like a real scene from the game. Totally badass dude
OH that was you who made the cell phone? Haha, awesome stuff man; too cool. Yeah about the extracting files, I've looked into that but I'm still a bit confused as to how to extract the files from the cookedpcconsole folder into something useful (like obj and mtl files). I do know how to open those pcc files though! ^_^ Oh and some of my youtube videos play all of the character dialogue lines (I managed to convert the afc files to wav).
That's cool though on how you can convert the GMOD models; very nice! Hmmm the only thing I know how to do using lights, at least in games, is light maps (adding lights to game levels) using udk. That's of course if your building a game level haha! It would be pretty cool if you could make a mod where you land on a planet with the Mako. Do a terrain map using Udk, add in some converted GMOD models, haha neato (now only if I could do that lol).
Yep the lighting came out pretty good! Thanks too for the fav man.
Yeah extracting and converting to useful formats can be a mega pain. I use Neosis and a few other things but I'm still learning so there's probs heaps better ways of doing things. Oh you make animations with the original dialogue??? Seriously that sounds freakin awesome!! I'm at work atm so I can't access Youtube but I will tonight
That would be epic to make your own game levels with extracted models. The GMOD stuff looks fun with all the mods and stuff they can use in game. What I want to learn next is how to apply spec maps and make transperant .tga files for hair textures and stuff. If you want the Normandy with interiors to play with [link]
That's awesome man! At the moment I don't have those kinds of videos yet. Mine just play all of the dialogue. Here is Jack's for example (I'm sure there's a few lines you haven't heard). These are her lines from ME3 btw.
I haven't rigged Jack's model yet for animations but I intend to. Then all you need to do is carry over the animations from the game files and use those. Lovelymaiden I think posted a video of somebody else who managed to do it. I think he took the dance animations from the game and used those (thus he didn't make any new ones just used the old ones with the game. Check it out here.
